This article really demonstrates both the emotional and physical aspects of being a caregiver. Each experience is so unique that no one can tell a prospective caregiver what to expect, and this is a great example of that. Of course, caregiving can be easier and even more fun with the right tools.

Good article. It’s also very important for caretakers of loved ones to take care of themselves and get help also. Watching a loved one suffer is really hard on those involved and it’s equally impotant to take care of yourself as it is to take care of a loved one.

Getting professional help is really nice because they can come at your loved one with objectivity and make sure everything is getting taken care of.

I’ve read a ton about all the new gadgets that are coming out for seniors or people with disabilities. And new things get invented everyday. iRobot is another company that has some really cool things and has a really good philosophy. I’m excited to see all the new things that come out.

I think nowadays there are so many businesses offering almost any product you can imagine. What you need to do is be specific and stick out amongst your competitors. So getting creative and using your imagination is now more necessary than ever. Doing things the old fashioned way doesn’t work anymore (which is unfortunate in some ways).

However, I think with more people communicating online and being able to voice their opinions about products, these businesses have to have accountability and need to stay true on what they say they’re giving to consumers. It’s so easy to get a review of a product or service or business and bad reviews are always found out before good ones.

Thank you for the link to this post! I think when someone with a like-mind of someone else helps them, the communication is more effective and it’s an all-around better way to help out. Like veterans helping veterans. When someone with similar views on life and are dealing with the same thing as the person they’re helping, really, the help is reciprocated. The volunteer learns about things and addresses issues that they maybe never thought about. Giving love is very similar to receiving love.
