Nursing Homes Show Improvement Despite Bleak overall Healthcare Picture

This article from McKnight’s Long Term Care News discusses the 2009 State Scorecard on Health System Performance which shows a increase of quality care improvements in nursing homes.

  Every state in the union saw at least a 5% performance improvement when it came to both pain management and use of restraints.

Vermont, Hawaii and Iowa occupy the top three spots on the Scorecard, while Oklahoma and Mississippi bring up the rear, echoing their 2007 results.
