There are advantages for all involved when a nursing home and hospice come together to help a resident and family. The nursing home receives additional personnel from hospice to help with resident care and has access to state-of-the-art palliative care. The facility also is able to take advantage of numerous educational and support programs for the staff, including bereavement services and assistance with creating memorial opportunities.
