Sunny Hill Nursing Home and Joilet Park District day camp come together in a compelling example of the value in combining inter-generational activities.

Fun-seekers from age 3 to 94 recently shared time together at day camp at Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County.

Sunny Hill residents were joined by 91 children from Joliet Park District day camps and Hill Memorial Learning Center for three days of activities called Ageless Olympics. The event was July 22-24. It was the second year the nursing home held day camp.

“The Olympics was a perfect theme for this year’s camp,” said Activity Director Larry Lindholm. “Many of our residents are looking forward to watching the Olympics when they are held in China in August.”
